Adjectives

 

Adjectives are words acclimated to call a noun. In Spanish, the adjective agrees in gender and cardinal with the noun it is modifying. For example:


the alpine man => el hombre alto (singular)

the alpine men => los hombres altos (plural)

the alpine woman => la mujer alta

the alpine women => las mujeres altas


More adjectives:

American => americano/a (/a agency alter the o with a => americana)

bad => malo/a

big => grande

crazy => loco/a

difficult => difícil

easy => facil

fast => rapido/a

fat => gordo/a

good => bueno/a

handsome => guapo/a

tall => alto/a

new =>nuevo/a

old => viejo/vieja

slow => despacio

Possessive Adjectives

My => mi

Mine => mio/mia

Your => tu

Yours => tuyo/a (informal)

Your => su

Yours => suyo/a (formal)

His/her => su, suyo/a

Our => nuestro/a

Their => su

Theirs => suyo/a

Examples:

Your book is blue. = Tu libro es azul.

The book is yours. = El libro es suyo.

My brother is married. = Mi hermano está casado.
